ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ilayda Yucel was born in Eregli, Black Sea in 1989 and moved to Istanbul together with her family when she was 6 years old. Returning to Eregli due to family matters, the artist continued her education at Eregli College in Ted Black Sea. During her student years she kept her interest in painting and she attended painting courses at Metin Keskin Art House. In 2013, artist graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language and History-Geography, Anthropology Department. After working as a foreign representative for 4 months in a private company for 54 hours a week, she decided that his office life was not suitable for her and returned to her practice art. Picasso, Modigliani, Kandinsky, Matisse, Salvador Dali, Monet, Stella Im Hultberg and Wendy Buiter are some of her favorite masters. Ilayda Yucel continues her painting studies in Ereğli.
