ABOUT THE ARTIST

Atilla Akcagöz was born in Samsun, in 1954. He graduated from Marmara University, Painting Department and worked as an instructor for 10 years. He participated in several group exhibitions in Istanbul and won Mansion Award of Vakko Fabric Pattern Competition. Akcagöz held a solo exhibition at Taksim Art Gallery (1977-1979). He harmonizes metaphysic with antique era and modernism in his artwork and continues to practice art in his own atelier. His paintings are part of several private art collections in Turkey.
