Burcu Sar believes that interest in art is hidden in our genes and began practicing art by the influence of her father who is a technical painter. She began her art practices with charcoal drawing which was later followed by painting landscape, portrait and figures with the use of oil and acrylic that improved her skills and technique. Sar believes that focusing on a single style restricts the freedom of expression, therefore she painted works of abstract, baroque, expressionism and realism. Since she is not too fond of using brushes, she enjoys and prefers hand painting. This preference is determined by the style and content of the artwork.
Burcu Sar held several solo exhibitions along with participating many group exhibitions and she continues to paint her deepest feelings on canvas in her own atelier in Antalya.
