ABOUT THE ARTIST
Emel Dilara Okkaci was born in Istanbul. After graduating from Yeditepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Plastic Arts Department, she practiced at the ateliers of Mimar Sinan University scholars Ozdemir Altan and Mustafa Ata. She also took lythography lessons from another scholar of Mimar Sinan University, Sinan Demirtas. She attended several other painting and sculpture classes in various art ateliers.
Okkaci usually creates abstract works in which the use of color, style and their harmony visualizes the integrality. Questioning, seeking answers, journeying through the colors to find the utter picture that are created subconsciously gives the audience an opportunity to find theirselves within the artwork.
ART PERSPECTIVE
Art is an expression of creativity and imagination. It existed in every era of mankind. It had revealed the way people have lived and it always will. Art is an aesthetic and unlimited expression that emerged differently for each individual and society in different eras.
