ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Ankara, in 1970, Meral Yüksek has been working in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism since 1998. She completed her primary education in Erzincan and Tekirdağ / Çorlu, middle and high school in Çorlu. She graduated from Eskisehir Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration. Her painting practices began by attending Vural Yurdakul Workshop between 2012-2014. In May 2014, she participated in her first group exhibition at Nesibe Aydın Art Center. In 2015, she attended lectures on perspective, pattern, imagery, still life and live model drawings at Cahit Malkoc Painting Workshop. Same year, she received drawing lessons from Meryem Alcin Icoz. In 2016, she opened his first solo exhibition "Seaweed Scent". Since November 2016, Yuksek continues her studies by taking color-pattern-light, perspective, oil painting and acrylic training on oil painting techniques applied by masters Hikmet Cetinkaya and Erdogan Secil at Hikmet Cetinkaya Painting Atelier.
