ABOUT THE ARTIST
Pınar Yükselir has completed her art education and graduated from Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi of Marmara University as Painter & Graphic Designer. In 1987 she took up a career as graphic designer in advertising sector. In 1988 she have shifted her career by entering packaging sector as corrugated cardboard packaging designer which she successfully continued for 30 years.
Pınar Yükselir, who made a great effort on development of packaging sector in Türkiye by her structural designs with corrugated cardboard. She owns many awards given by TSE (Turkish Institute of Standards) and WPO (World Packaging Organization). Her love of painting influnced her graphic designs that she has implemented on packaging designs during her professional career. She has ended her profesional career in 2017 and she started painting full time which she love so much.
The solo exhibition named "Rengarenk" (means colorful) by Pınar Yükselir expresses the idea of unique form of nature and its color. This series of paintings aim to give us relief from the intense pace of life. The artist, who aims to add tranquility and happiness to the place we live in and used all the colors from rainbow on her palette artfully and she revealed pleasing and “Colorful” studies.
