ABOUT THE ARTIST
E. Can Kafdağlı joined Kayıhan Keskinok's Workshop immediately after retiring in 2000, in order to improve her painting skills. She developed her interest and love for watercolor by working with artist Orhan Gürel. During her art education at Keskinok workshop, she adopted a 'Birdinmaker Colorist' approach in oil painting studies and this is the contemporary interpretation of Clair-Obscur (Light-Bay), the basic technique of Renaissance painting art in her work. However, the endless search of an artist led her to other techniques 20 years later. Her recent paintings are interpretations of Impressionist Colorism with spatula.
Kafdağlı is a member of Ankara Women Painters Association (AKRD). Many of her paintings are available in collections of private and official galleries and in personal collections abroad.
