ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist Pınar Akbaba started to paint in Hasan Kavruk’s Atelier in 1988. She continued her practice by attending workshops together with Pınar Kalem. Main theme of her artworks is “Escape”: running away from daily miseries, a journey to artificial cities…
Subjects of her artworks are; freedom, escape from the norms that are imposed by social life and expression of the dilemma between our real and imaginary world. The reason she prefers to paint abstract is the freedom of expression that style provides with the assistance of colors. Akbaba continues to practice her art in her Atelier in Etiler,
