Pinar Kanber

Art Director / Artist / Sculptor

 

Born in Istanbul, in 1974; Kanber graduated from the Department of painting at Kocaeli University, Faculty of Fine Arts in 2004. She completed her master's degree at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Kocaeli University in 2008. She has been involved in international projects and exhibitions in his professional career. Since 2003, she has given art lessons to adults and children in her own workshop. She also worked as art consultant at Institutions and NGOs. She coordinated the European Union projects in Kocaeli. She was a columnist at the local newspaper in Kocaeli. She has implemented hundreds of arts, culture and social responsibility projects while directing art at the Vehbi Koç Foundation. She founded the Theatre Club with the hearing impaired and was the general Coordinator. Kanber has conducted many researches and writings in different subjects, especially on Caravanians. Between 2017-2018, hse wrote art articles in Milliyet Art magazine. In 2017, she opened her own gallery called PART Gallery and became the founding partner of ARP Gallery in the same year. At present, she continues to practice art in her own ateliers in Erenkoy (Turkey) and Rotterdam (Holland).
