ABOUT THE ARTIST
Salih Erdem Azıtmaz was born in 2002, in Kayseri. He is originally from Nevşehir. His exceptional talent for the art of painting was recognized—first by himself, and subsequently by his family and teachers—starting from his primary school years. He graduated from the Painting Department of the Kayseri Fine Arts High School in 2020. In 2025, he graduated from the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University.
In addition to oil and acrylic paintings, his body of work also includes charcoal drawings and serigraphs. His artistic output is characterized by a style that encompasses Cubist, figurative, non-figurative, and abstract elements, while leaning closely toward realism. In his works, he prioritizes questioning, inquiry, the exploration of the subconscious, analysis, and interpretation; indeed, these are precisely the concepts he seeks to convey to and evoke in the viewer. Beyond his visual artistic endeavors, the artist also engages in literary pursuits; he has authored two columns and two articles of a near-academic nature, and his writings have been published on prestigious platforms.
